Climpact network has produced and offers freely a series of datasets about climate change

Publication: 10-07-2026
The dataset includes daily meteorological parameters for the period 2010-2025 from 54 meteorological stations. You can see visualizations of the data from these stations on the page https://www.meteo.gr/climate/ The parameters are temperature (°C), relative humidity (%), pressure (hPa), rainfall (mm), wind speed (km/h), dominant wind direction, and wind gust (km/h). The measurements come from the network of automatic meteorological stations of the National Observatory of Athens/meteo.gr. Information about the stations and any malfunctions are provided a...
Publication: 24-07-2025
The data refer to fifteen-day and monthly measurements of sinking particulate matter in the marine areas of the northern Aegean, Cretan, Ionian Seas and the Levantine/northeastern Mediterranean. The collection instruments were PPS3/3 Technicap sediment traps with collection areas of 0.125 m² and 12 receiving cups. The locations and corresponding depths of the trap deployments for the different areas are as follows: Historical biogeochemical flux data for the time period 2015: A) Northern Aegean Sea (station M2, Athos Basin): 39°58.16′ N, 24°43.48′ E; d...

Total averaged-dry air mole fractions of greenhouse gases for the region of Thessaloniki, such as carbon dioxide, methane, water vapor, carbon monoxide . Measurements were performed using a portable Bruker EM27/SUN spectrometer in the frame of the COllaborative Carbon Column Observing Network (COCCON), which measures direct solar radiation and each spectrum is obtained every 58 seconds, during clear-sky days. Data also include other measured quantities such as: the uncertainty of each measurement (rms), the time of measurement (UTC), the solar zenith ang...
